The European Community - Australia Mutual Recognition Agreement (EC-MRA) is a binding Treaty between the Governments of Australia and the European Community. Australian companies have benefited from the EC-MRA which allows products to be tested in Australia prior to export for compliance with the EC's regulatory standards.  Although this document was published under the previous Government, it is intended as a factual document.
