Executive Summary of the Benchmarking Study on Australia’s competitive advantages

A benchmarking study to compare and monitor Australia’s competitive advantages against competing countries was completed in 2005.

The Australian and the Victorian Governments commissioned the Economist Intelligence Unit to undertake the study which compares Australia to the USA, UK, Japan, Singapore, Germany and India on cost and a range of qualitative and quantitative indicators relevant to investment decision making for the pharmaceuticals industry.

Government and industry will work together on ways to use this information to market Australia as an investment destination.
