The Pharmaceuticals Industry Action Agenda (PIAA) is a ten year industry growth strategy.  It was developed by industry stakeholders during 2001 and 2002 and has as its vision a doubling of Australia’s share of the global pharmaceuticals industry by 2012.

The Action Agenda developed by the industry was presented in its report, Pharmaceuticals Industry Action Agenda: Local Priority – Global Partner.  The report outlines a vision for the industry, three strategies, five goals and sixteen actions to be implemented.  A three year implementation phase followed the launch of the Action Agenda in November 2002. The implementation was reviewed in 2006.
