Under the leadership of the JSF Industry Advisory Council, Industry Capability Teams (ICTs) have been formed in six specialised fields to network, coordinate and market relevant Australian industry capabilities on a cooperative basis to the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Program primes and sub contractors. The ICTs reflect Lockheed Martin and its partners’ JSF Integrated Product Teams and cover the following areas:

  • Airframe, Vehicle and Propulsion Systems;
  • Autonomic Logistics;
  • Mission Systems;
  • Training and Simulation;
  • Electronic Warfare; and
  • Technology and Innovation.

ICT member presentations are available on industry capabilities of over 80 companies.

The ICT’s are commercially driven, self supporting and self managed.  They provide the opportunity  for members to work together to maximise Australian benefits in the JSF Program through open discussion and information sharing on capabilities, and by facilitating business matching.  The ICTs format has proven to be a successful vehicle for Australia in promoting, identifying and winning JSF work.

Team Australia Approach

The ICTs and the Government's JSF Industry Team collectively form Team Australia.  The Government supports the ICTs by assisting with information flows and by matching their capabilities against JSF Program requirements.

The ICTs are proving to be successful, with members continuing to receive contracts, requests for information (RFIs) and requests for quotes (RFQs) from JSF suppliers (see Progress and Announcements). Membership is open to Australian companies with relevant capabilities and the capacity to win JSF work.
