Equity Programs

The department administers several programs and initiatives to support equity in higher education in Australia.

• Higher Education Disability Support Program - provides funding to eligible higher education providers to improve access for students with disabilities 
• Higher Education Participation and Partnerships Program - this program aims to ensure that Australians from low socio-economic status backgrounds who have the ability to study at university get the opportunity to do so
