A series of five seminars was organised on Export Trade Controls, including the US ITAR (http://www.pmddtc.state.gov/consolidated_itar.htm), by the Department of Defence and the then Department of Industry, Tourism and Resources.  The ITAR seminar presentations (below) covered export trade controls from both the US and Australian industry viewpoints and provided information and practical advice to Australian companies, as well as highlighting some of the issues Australian industry face in complying with US ITAR.  The seminars were held in Melbourne on 28 February 2006, Adelaide on 2 March 2006, Canberra on 6 March 2006, Brisbane on 8 March 2006 and Sydney on 10 March 2006.
