Resources Sector Supplier Advisory Forum (March 2012)
In March 2012 the Resources Sector Supplier Envoy will chair the second Resources Sector Supplier Advisory Forum. The forum will refine the Strategic Plan, which supplier advocates will present to the industry. Members of the forum will discuss three working papers:
- Innovation
- Access to Finance
- Winning Business.
Up to four Supplier Advocates for the resources sector will be announced early to mid-2012.
Mining Suppliers Delegation to Latin America (April 2012)
From 10-18 April 2012, the Envoy will lead a 15-member Australian mining suppliers delegation to Latin America. It will represent Australia's most innovative and export-ready mining technologies and services companies that have not yet expanded their business into Chile, Colombia and Peru.
The event will give delegates the opportunity to:
- Meet senior executives of existing mining operations and Australian companies in the region
- Discuss the scale of current and future mining projects
- Gain a deeper understanding of the Latin American markets, supply chain characteristics and local business practices.
The delegation will provide hands-on information to members and allow them to build contacts and pursue new opportunities.
