What is PEC?
The Pharmaceuticals Education Council (PEC) was established in 2003 to strengthen Australia's ability to commercialise research by investing in skills and to strengthen the skills and capabilities of the pharmaceuticals industry and to promote two-way movement between industry and academia.  It reports to the Pharmaceuticals Industry Council.

On 18 December 2006 a $230,000 collaboration and structural reform fund grant to St. Vincent's hospital, on behalf of the PEC, was announced to address and identify skills gaps in the Pharmaceuticals and Biopharmaceuticals industry.
