Australia-India Strategic Research Fund (AISRF) grant rounds are held annually and you may only apply while a grant round is open. The first step in applying for a grant under the Indo-Australia Science and Technology Fund, Indo-Australia Biotechnology Fund or the Grand Challenge Fund is to become familiar with the AISRF guidelines. Before you begin an application you need to carefully think about the following questions:

- What component should I be applying for?
AISRF funding supports collaborative projects and workshops which have both an Australian applicant and an Indian applicant.
The Indo-Australian Science and Technology Fund and the Indo-Australian Biotechnology Fund
If you are an Australian applicant applying to the Indo-Australian Science and Technology Fund or the Indo-Australian Biotechnology Fund you will need to submit an online application to the Department of Industry, Innovation, Science, Research and Tertiary Education.
Your Indian partner will need to submit an application to the Government of India. It is essential that Australian and Indian partners submit applications to the same component so ensure that you discuss this with your Indian partner before starting your application.
