This paper, released in May 2007, examines trends in the manufacturing sector, also reviewing each of the manufacturing sector's sub-sectors. Data on output, employment, gross value added per employee, exports and imports, profitability and investment is provided for each sub-sector, as well as a summary of important developments and industry policy.
