This paper, released in May 2007, considers the drivers of change which are relevant to Australian industry. These drivers have been shaping Australia’s economy, industries and firms. They are considered in sections on globalisation, innovation, demographic change, human capital, and sustainability. Each of these is closely inter-related with the others.

Although published under the previous Government, it is intended as a factual document.
