In June 2009 the Minister for Innovation, Industry, Science and Research Senator the Hon Kim Carr announced a review of the Australian pulp and paper manufacturing industry. Minister Carr established a Pulp and Paper Industry Strategy Group to undertake this review. Further information on the Pulp and Paper Industry Strategy Group is available here.
The Strategy Group submitted its report to the Minister on 31 March 2010. The Report was released on 20 April 2010. The Government is now considering the Report and will respond later in 2010.
