Twitter and the @PSInnovate Account

Twitter is a web-based micro-blogging service. The Public Sector Innovation Management Advisory Committee Project team, an across-agency team conducting the advancing public sector innovation project, being run out of the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research, is behind the @PSInnovate account. We invite you to follow us.

Why use Twitter?

The aim is to engage with people interested in public sector innovation and with views on how it can be encouraged in Australia, particularly within the federal tier of government.

  • Our Twitter channel supplements the information we publish on the project website.
  • It will help us let you know about our project and the associated opportunities for input and consultation.
  • We can link to interesting and useful information about public sector innovation in Australia and around the world.
  • We can ask for opinions on developments in the public sector innovation area – this should not be read as endorsement or criticism of ideas put forward, but rather as a research method.

Will you respond to my replies or direct messages?

We will try to reply to messages, however, please note this may not always be possible. The twitter channel will be monitored during business hours and we consider a Twitter conversation to be similar to that of a telephone conversation, and not considered as correspondence (letters, faxes, emails, submissions, et cetera).

Please be aware that Twitter is a public space on the internet and interaction is publicly viewable and searchable.
