The RPS was a transitional scheme that terminated at the end of 2008.
The RPS helped to protect designated regional Higher Education Providers (HEPs) from losses of income against their indexed 2001 Research Training Scheme (RTS) and Institutional Grants Scheme (IGS) combined grants.
The RPS Grant could be used at the HEP’s discretion for any RTS or IGS objective.
Guidelines
The RPS was a program specified in Chapter 8 of the Other Grants Guidelines (made under section 238-10 of the Higher Education Support Act, 2003).
