National Advisory for Tertiary Education, Skills and Employment (NATESE) is a national advisory service that provides independent policy advice and secretariat support to the key government committees for tertiary education, skills and employment.
NATESE develops and aligns policy advice, facilitates closer engagement across groups and enables more robust consultation between stakeholders. It has specific responsibility for supporting the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) Standing Council on Tertiary Education, Skills and Employment (SCOTESE), the National Senior Officials Committee (NSOC), the National Skills Standards Council (NSSC), the National VET Equity Advisory Council (NVEAC) and the Flexible Learning Advisory Group (FLAG).
NATESE is hosted by the Department of Industry, Innovation, Science, Research and Tertiary Education.
