VET FEE-HELP allows eligible students, who are studying diploma level and above, to borrow funds up to their FEE-HELP limit to help pay for all or part of their VET tuition fees. Students who access VET FEE-HELP assistance will have a loan with the Australian Government who will, on the student’s behalf, pay their VET tuition fees for their approved VET provider. Only VET providers can offer VET FEE-HELP assistance to eligible students.
Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and Higher Education Providers (HEPs) who wish to become an approved VET Provider must meet legislative requirements in relation to tuition assurance, credit transfer arrangements, student policies and procedures for fairness and equal opportunities. Applicants should be aware that there are ongoing responsibilities such as general administrative requirements and data reporting requirements associated with the VET FEE-HELP program.
