Tuesday, December 6, 2016

The first round of grants for the Women in STEM and Entrepreneurship (WISE) grant programme have been offered. The WISE programme helps to address gender equality by increasing women and girls’ participation in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and entrepreneurship.

$3.9 million of the $8 million programme has gone to 24 projects that remove barriers stopping women taking part in STEM education and careers.

The WISE programme is a part of the National Innovation and Science Agenda’s aim of improving gender equality by improving career pathways for women.
